Ephesians 6:10-20
“Be strong … put on … stand firm … fighting against … resist … stand
your ground … be fully prepared … hold up … take the Sword … pray … stay alert …
be persistent … pray for me … “
Anyone out there still think disciples of Christ use “religion” as a
crutch? Who, after reading this passage,
could possibly think of believers as “weak-minded”, or wimps? We are soldiers, with the King of kings and
Lord of all creation at the head of our ranks!
Paul teaches I am in a war and my mind is the battlefield. If I haven’t soaked up Scripture, letting God’s
Word be the Word of God in my mind, the battle’s
already lost. Not the war-Satan’s
already the defeated enemy; but he still leads skirmishes into the Enemy
territory of my mind, trying to make me fail just one more time before it’s too
late.
Shhhhh! Don’t tell him … I’m putting on my armor
right now!
Father, please
help me with this armor. Sometimes I
forget to open
The closet and
get it out-I walk right out the door
To work wearing
only my own clothes instead of Yours!
I’m putting on
the Belt, the Body Armor, the Shoes, the Helmet right now.
And I’ve
already picked up the Sword and Shield.
I’m staying
alert and praying … for myself and those you’ve given
Me. Thank You, Father-I love you! Amen.
